Where to next?

This Friday, August 1st, I will be visiting Thorndike Press in Waterville, Maine. Thorndike Press is part of Gale and Cengage Learning, as is Sleeping Bear Press. I look forward to seeing a production facility and connecting with librarians and booksellers also attending this Open House.

I am honored to be included in Camden's 3rd Annual Children's Book Fair
By the Sea. This event, on Saturday, August 16th, is held at the Camden Library from 1-4pm. It is hosted by the Owl and Turtle Bookshop and the Camden Library. Eight Maine connected children's authors/illustrators will each present a short talk about their book as well as signing copies available for purchase. The other authors are Chris Van Dusen, Melissa Sweet, Jamie Spencer, Garvin Morris, Susan Lubner, Noah Z. Jones, and John and Ann Hassett. This will be a fun afternoon in a beautiful setting - a great place to spend a day and start holiday shopping for a special young person in your life!

On Friday evening, October 17th, I will be at the Barnes and Noble's in Augusta to help celebrate and honor educators. As a former teacher, I am always eager and happy to help promote and support the many unsung heroes in our classrooms. Donating a book to your child's or grandchild's classroom library is a great way to celebrate their birthday, teach them about the value of giving and help many other children in the process.

The school visit brochures will be mailed in August. If you know a teacher or PTA that should receive one, please feel free to email me a wulmer@clinic.net. Remember to read and write a bit each day!
